Charter Schools
The first
question that a charter school should answer is: "Does our
salary schedule meet the minimum standards set by the U.S. Department
of Labor as prevailing wages in the area?" Understandably,
the U.S. government may only allow foreign workers, such as teachers
to come to the United States, if no American is unduly replaced due
to unfair labor competition such as lower salaries. Each area has a
prevailing wage as dictated by the Department of Labor. Let our lawyer
answer that question for you. Contact our immigration
lawyer.
After receiving
a positive reply on having met the U.S. standards on prevailing wages,

PAIR envisions
that should your charter school need at least five (5) teachers, the
most efficient matching option will be the international recruitment
trip. If you have less than five (5) teaching positions to fill up,
it may not be cost efficient for all stakeholders to undertake an international
recruiting trip. There are other matching options available though.
Remember:
if you declare that you have at least five (5) teaching positions available,
PAIR will never ask you to guarantee to hire at least five (5) teachers.
Your satisfaction and standards are always first and foremost in our
minds. The hiring of the best teachers for the students you serve is
of paramount importance. However, we are confident that with the quality
of the teacher-applicants in our pool, you will be able to fill in your
needs without us demanding that you hire at least five (5) teachers.
Quality shall speak for itself.
PAIR has
preferred timelines for
conducting international recruiting. However, adjustments to the timeline
may easily be made subject to the concurrence of both parties.
