H1b visa – is granted to a professional to engage in the practice of his/her profession in the United States of America for a maximum of six (6) years.

J1 visa – is granted to a professional to participate in an Exchange Visitor Program, and in this particular scenario, in a Teacher Exchange Program in the United States of America. The maximum length of participation is three (3) years with the condition that upon the conclusion of the teacher’s program participation, the teacher returns to his/her country of origin and stays there for two (2) years.

Permanent residency – There are provisions for an H1b visa grantee to apply for permanent residency in the United States of America and thereby become a resident alien.

The immigration lawyer will be in the best position to comprehensively discuss the extensive details of the above-mentioned elements with the prospective PAIR applicant.
